Cripes, it's been a while!

Sorry for not being around people, I've been going through stuff offline. I think I'm falling into depression a bit again... which sucks because it's like I feel happy but my brain is telling me I'm not. It's really conflicting right now. Hopefully it'll just pass. I'm pretty sure it will... I hope.

I've also been pretty busy with other stuff as well. I'm working on a comic that is unnamed as of now. It's a pretty daunting task to me because the only comics I've ever done were silly ones for projects in school... actually, my freshman class English teacher still uses the giant comic boards I used for the project showing segments of each act in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing as an example of what you can do for the project. I'm flattered by that still, even if I think the art was crappy.

Well, I said I was working on a comic... but I'm actually working on two. One is more or less a slice of life that I'll hopefully have up as soon as I get better at webpage making... or I may just post it on Tumblr and post a link to said Tumblr here at one point. Other than that, I'm way behind on everything else in life. So sorry to everyone I've probably inadvertently let down by this.

I plan on updating this blog more regularly. I know I keep saying this... but this time I mean it. (:

Amigurumi Dolls

I've been bitten by a bug... a bug to create things. Things that are described in the title of this post. They're so cute I can't help it! Those darn Amigurumi dolls! Ah, if you don't know what an Amigurumi doll is, here's a picture:


Aren't they cute? I want to get a base pattern and then make my own based off of characters I love, etc. They're made by crocheting, something I already know how to do, and I figure it'll be a fun little craft to pick up! I need another new thing to do anyway, it was about time, in my opinion.

Oh my, I'm so sorry!

I've been so lackadaisical with my writing. I said this was going to be done regularly and yet I haven't made a post since my first one! I'm sorry! Let me fill you all in.

December got very busy for me, and not for good reason. My pap-pap (great grandfather) took a turn for the worst health-wise, so I spent much of December in the hospital visiting and helping as much as I could to care for him. Sadly, he died on December 19 at 82. He was comfortable and at peace, but it was still sad, you know? He's in a better place now though, right?

I was a bit down and helping my nana (his daughter) with all the arrangements, etc... so my letter writing and everything I enjoy actually... got put aside for a while. Slowly I've picked things back up. I've gotten back into learning guitar, got back into games, and last night I finally wrote a couple of letters that I soon have to send out. Sorry for the delay, everyone who has written to me and not yet gotten a reply, I'm very sorry about that.

I had planned a trip in November to Boston for New Year's Eve and got to go to that, so that backed me up a bit as well. I did have a blast though. It was a truly fun time. I got to hang with my friends and it was just fun. I really did enjoy it.

So, I'm back into the swing of things, I hope, and I hope you'll all stick with me through this. Sorry again for my disappearing off the face of the planet. Not like it's the first or last time that'll happen.

A First for everything.

Hello there! I'm Meg and for the first time I'm stepping out on my own and deciding that blogging could be fun! I've blogged before but was never too diligent. However, I'd like to make this my own. I feel it could be fun, right?

Well, let me tell you a bit about myself I guess! I am currently nineteen years old, live in Pennsylvania and well... I have a ton of interests! It has made my going to college be pushed off because I just don't know what exactly I'll be happy with doing for the rest of my life! AS of now, I'm looking into getting a degree in something to do with videogame design since I've adored videogames since I was a small child! Here's to hoping!

In addition to videogames, I love crafts and anything creative. My previous career interests have been in range from lawyer to marine biologist to chef to graphic artist! I've even considered writing which is something a good many of my friends and peers agree I should do... I just don't know what I'd write about!

Regardless, I love science, writing, reading, art in all it's forms, I'm a music and cinema addict, I adore videogames... I knit and crochet, and into cross-stitch and I'm learning how to use a sewing machine! I'm also an avid letter writer and co-write a blog (she does most of the work since I don't always know what to write about) with a dear friend! Check it out!
